Material duality is used in this sculpture to communicate the discomfort of being a people pleaser. The softness of the felt is juxtaposed against the hard, sharp iron mouth crawling with worms. Although the sculpture has a soft palette which gives the sensation of comfort there is an unsettling quality to the ambiguous face shape, and the text reading "fuck me over" in both the forms of what could be eyes. The piece challenges the viewer to understand the manipulative act of people pleasing, and the harm it causes both the pleaser and the pleased.
