Hanging from a fabricated steel hanger is a dress worn only once on a first date that was never worn again. It was first soaked in joint compound and acrylic paint, and then coated in sun sensitive cyanotype chemicals. The color of the blue alludes to the sensation of loss, and melancholy. Cracks run through the fabric showing the crumbling of memory, and how a once cherished item disintegrates through the passing of time, and the shifting of the self.
